## Variables

### kLogVerbosity {#kLogVerbosity}

<div class="api-signature">

`const char*` **`kLogVerbosity`** `= "CLIKA_RT_LOG_VERBOSITY"`

</div>

Log verbosity override for the [ClikaRT](../../index.md) logger: one of silent / error / warning / info / verbose (case-insensitive; `debug` reads as verbose). Overrides the build default (Debug in debug builds, Info in release). Read when the logger is first used. The same variable sets the runtime's own logging tier, so one setting covers every [ClikaRT](../../index.md) log line.

### kNumThreads {#kNumThreads}

<div class="api-signature">

`const char*` **`kNumThreads`** `= "CLIKA_RT_NUM_THREADS"`

</div>

The process-wide kernel thread pool's PARTICIPANT count: the calling thread plus the pool's workers, so a value of N keeps N cores busy in a parallel operator (N = 1 runs every operator on the calling thread alone). Unset, the pool sizes itself to the host's physical cores (its Performance cores on a hybrid SoC). Read when the pool is first created (on the first compute), so set it before then; [`ClikaRT::threading::num_threads()`](../threading/index.md#num_threads) reads the effective count back, and the runtime logs it once at Info when the pool is created (`cpu thread pool: N participant(s) (<what set it>)`).

### kLicense {#kLicense}

<div class="api-signature">

`const char*` **`kLicense`** `= "CLIKA_RT_LICENSE"`

</div>

The license credential the runtime runs compute under: the `CLIKA1-...` text CLIKA issued for your deployment (the online license key, or the offline license), given inline or as the path of a file holding it. Set it before the runtime is used. Unset, the runtime reads the per-user license file that `clikart-license-init <credential>` writes (the tool ships in the distribution's `bin/`); a value here wins over the file. A bare `clika_rk_...` API key is not a credential in either place. Without a valid credential the runtime's calls fail with `code_name()` `LICENSE_FAILED` (`LICENSE_EXPIRED` for a license past its end date). While the license server cannot be reached they fail with `LICENSE_SERVER_UNREACHABLE` and the retryable [`Status::Unavailable`](../../index.md#Status) instead, and succeed again once the server answers.

## `ClikaRT/common/env_vars.h` {#env_vars-h}

```cpp
#include <ClikaRT/common/env_vars.h>
```

Environment variables the [ClikaRT](../../index.md) public API consults.

The names are provided as constants so a consumer can set or clear them without hardcoding strings. They are read when first needed (e.g. at the first model download), so set them before that point.
