effective_reasoning_effort​

effective_reasoning_effort(reasoning_effort: 'str', enable_thinking: 'bool | None') -> 'str'

The one knob the model library reads: an explicit reasoning_effort wins; otherwise enable_thinking spells "on" or "none"; neither leaves the family default ("").

resolve_config​

resolve_config(defaults: 'GenerationConfig', config: 'GenerationConfig | Mapping[str, Any] | None', overrides: 'Mapping[str, Any]') -> 'GenerationConfig'

The effective policy of one request: defaults under config (a GenerationConfig replaces the whole policy; a mapping overlays its keys) under the keyword overrides.
